15 Of The Most Expensive Cars In The World
15. McLaren P1
McLaren is a name synonymous with motor racing, especially F1.
The McLaren P1 however, isn’t a car we’d recommend that you race around the track.
Obviously, you could, but when you learn about the price tag, even chipping the paintwork could set you back thousands.
This mid-engined miniature sports car costs a staggering $1.15 Million!
It is a limited-edition supercar that is capable of reaching speeds that most cars could only dream of.
There are only 375 of these cars in the world, and if you’ve got a spare $1.15 Million and act quickly, you could own your very own piece of history.
14. Rolls Royce Serenity Phantom
Up next we have one of the most luxurious car brands in the world.
Yes, it is Rolls Royce.
Those of you that know your cars, will know that Rolls Royce is one of the most luxurious and decadent brands in the industry.
Owned by royalty, as well as A-list celebs and the world’s best businessmen and women, Rolls Royce vehicles aren’t your typical show-off supercars.
They’re elegant and sophisticated, and the Serenity Phantom is no different.
This car is a work of art, inside and out.
Just one look at the car tells you that it is expensive.
With amazing leather trim and detailing on the interior, with thick carpet nicer than you’ll find in upmarket hotels, this car was built for comfort.
Don’t let that fool you, though, because it has an automatic 8-speed gearbox and a V-12 engine. As of this writing (Dec 2019), it is available for $1.1 Million.
13. Ferrari LaFerrari
What a shock, an article looking at expensive cars contains a Ferrari, who knew?
Yes, as expected, here’s the first Ferrari to make today’s list, though it probably won’t be the last.
This Italian Supercar manufacturer has a reputation for making some of the expensive cars in the entire world.
The Ferrari LaFerrari is not a car to own if you want to maintain a low profile.
It is a real head turner and is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face.
The roar of the engine alone justifies the $1.4 Million price tag, though of course, the car offers much more besides.
This hybrid sports car is a limited edition and has been featured in numerous car magazines and TV shows.
12. Zenvo TS1 GT
Now, casually car fans reading this article will probably recognize the 3 car manufacturers on our list so far, but Zenvo may be a name not everybody is familiar with.
The Zenvo TS1 GT is one of the most expensive ones in the world, costing a staggering $1.9 Million!
This is a limited-edition sports car manufactured by Danish company Zenvo, and is only one of five!
The car features a twin-supercharged 5.8-liter V8 engine, as well as a customized luxury interior.
The car looks powerful, it sounds powerful, and it is powerful.
11. Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
Here we have our first Lambo, though, like the Ferrari, we suspect it won’t be the last.
The Sesto Elemento may sound like a spell you’d learn in Hogwarts, but don’t worry, it is actually a car.
The Sesto Elemento costs $2.2 Million, though many believe it is worth every cent.
It looks stunning and is just what you’d expect from a Lambo.
This track car is lightweight and oozes power with its 5.2 Litre V10 engine.
Because it is so light in weight, there’s an abundance of carbon fiber to be found here.
Oh, and it also features the trademark Lambo wing doors.
10. Mercedes AMG One
The great thing about this German car manufacturer is the fact that they are very inclusive.
They make some of the most expensive machines in the world, yet they also produce stunning cars for affordable prices.
We’re getting luxurious today, though, so we’re looking at a big price tag, $2.5 Million, in fact, thanks to the AMG One.
This car was created to mark Mercedes’ 50th birthday, and what a gift to the world it was.
The car was developed with the help of F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, and out of all 275 units, all sold out in record time.
Capable of speeds which top 217mph, it’s easy to see why piston heads love this car so much.
9. Ferrari FXX K
This car may have a name like a censored expletive, but when you see it for yourself, you’ll likely utter that word out loud.
Developed to be based upon the road-legal version of this car, the K in the name is in reference to Kinetic energy.
Specifically, the kinetic energy recovery system which the car utilizes to really maximize its performance.
Only legal for track use, only 40 of these cars were developed.
Capable of reaching a top speed of 217mph, it’s easy to see why this is such a desirable track day vehicle.
The $2.7 Million price tag is probably less-desirable, unless you own Ferrari, of course.
8. Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta
We really are spoiling you Ferrari lovers, aren’t we?
Up next we have yet another Ferrari, this one, though, is indeed road legal.
The Aperta costs $2.2 Million and features a removable soft-top roof, as well as a removable carbon-fiber roof so you can literally customize your roof, or remove it entirely when the sun is shining.
There were only 209 units of this car created.
200 were sold, and the last 9 were kept behind by Ferrari for various company uses.
7. Bugatti Chiron
You’ve probably heard about the Bugatti Veyron, but how about the Chiron?
This is one of the fastest cars on our list so far. It offers a staggering 1,500 bhp, a W16, 8-litre, V8 engine, with 16 cylinders.
What does that mean for those of you who aren’t huge supercar enthusiasts?
Basically, it means that it is a very fast car.
It has a top speed of 261mph!
There are only 500 units of this car available, which is one reason why it will set you back $2.7 Million!
6. Aston Martin Vulcan
Here we have the first Aston Martin on our list today.
The Vulcan is not your typical Aston Martin.
Don’t expect to see James Bond chasing bad guys around in one of these.
This is one of the most expensive and ambitious cars created by Aston Martin.
It is a supercar with an entire body made from lightweight carbon fiber.
It produces 800 bhp, has a V12, 7-liter engine, and is designed primarily for speed.
This is a two-seater, two-door supercar which costs an astonishing $3.4 Million.
It is very much limited edition, too, as there are only 24 units available.
5. Bugatti Veyron Mansory Vivere
Now we have the Bugatti Veyron, though this one is a little more special.
This vehicle costs a whopping $3.3 Million and is stunning to look at.
It is one of the most expensive cars in the world, and you can tell right away, just by looking at it.
The Veyron offers 1,200 bhp and was named the car of the decade for 2000 – 2009.
Capable of speeds upward of 250mph, it is fast as it is beautiful.
4. Lykan Hypersport
Remember how we told you we’d throw you a few curve balls?
Well, here’s another.
The Lykan Hypersport is almost certainly the most expensive car you’ve never heard of.
It is a stunner.
This is produced by W Motors, who is a Lebanese supercar manufacturer who collaborated with Italian engineers to produce this gem.
This is luxury in its finest sense.
Just look at the headlights, which are literally encrusted with real 15 carat diamonds!
If diamonds aren’t your thing, you can instead go with sapphires, rubies, or yellow diamonds.
With a top speed of 240 mph, this car will set you back $3.4 Million.
3. Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
Here we have another Lambo for you to peruse, this time, the Veneno Roadster.
In Spanish, Veneno translates to Venom, or Poisonous, which is pretty cool, you must admit.
This car is based upon the Aventador and was built to celebrate Lamborghini turning 50.
This car can reach 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, and it is the most expensive car on our list so far, coming in at $4.5 Million.
2. Mercedes Benz Maybach Exelero
As we’re talking about the most expensive machines in the world, the Mercedes Benz Exelero is a car which is a very welcome addition to our list.
It looks absolutely stunning and performs unbelievably well.
This car costs an enormous $8 Million and has been featured in a music video by rapper Jay-Z. Many A-listers own this Merc, including the rapper Birdman.
This four-seater car can reach speeds of up to 213 mph thanks to the twin-turbo V12 engine.
The only very minor complaint that people have, is that at first glance, you wouldn’t instantly recognize this as being a Mercedes Benz at all.
Other than that, though, it is a real stunner.
1. Rolls Royce Sweptail
Last, but certainly not least, we have the most expensive car on our list, the Rolls Royce Sweptail.
